This Privacy Policy explains how Anchor & Ark, LLC, doing business as Equotient (“Equotient,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Equotient business-intelligence platform, our website at equotient.ai, and the application at app.equotient.ai (together, the “Services”). Equotient provides AI-powered analytics that score a business’s operational maturity and deliver daily briefings and recommendations to business owners and operators.
What Equotient processes — and what it does not. Equotient analyzes business and operational data — such as revenue, accounting summaries, online reviews, competitive and local-market information, and marketing metrics. Equotient is not a healthcare platform and does not collect, store, or process patient clinical records, medical histories, diagnoses, treatment information, or appointment-level data that could identify a patient. For functional-medicine and similar clients, the Services are designed to remain free of Protected Health Information (PHI) by design.

01Who we are
Equotient is operated by Anchor & Ark, LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as Equotient. We are the data controller for personal information processed through the Services, except where we act as a data processor on behalf of a business client (see Section 6).
Our published business mailing address is 616 Lost Key Dr. #203A, Pensacola, FL 32507. You can reach us at info@equotient.ai.
02Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account and contact details — name, business name, email address, and login credentials when you create or are provisioned an account.
- Communications — information you send us through our contact form, email, or support requests.
- Business profile information — details about your business that you or your authorized representative provide during onboarding.
Business and operational data you connect
When you authorize a connection to a third-party service, we receive business and operational data from that service to power your dashboard. Depending on the connections you enable, this may include:
- Accounting and financial data from QuickBooks Online — such as revenue, expense, and margin summaries used to assess financial health (see Section 3).
- Public reputation and review data — such as ratings and review text from Google Business Profile and related sources.
- Competitive and local-market data — publicly available information about comparable businesses in your area.
- Marketing metrics — aggregate channel and content performance figures, where connected.
Information collected automatically
- Authentication and session data — required to keep you securely logged in.
- Limited technical logs — such as IP address, browser type, and error diagnostics used to operate and secure the Services. We do not run third-party advertising or behavioral-analytics trackers on the Services today.
03QuickBooks & Intuit data
If you choose to connect your QuickBooks Online account, you authorize Equotient — through Intuit’s secure OAuth process — to access certain accounting data from your QuickBooks company file. We use this data solely to generate the financial-intelligence features of your dashboard, including financial-health scoring, margin analysis, and capital-readiness reporting.
- We access QuickBooks data on a read-only basis for the purpose of producing your analytics. We do not write to, alter, or post transactions in your QuickBooks file.
- We request access only to the accounting data needed to power these features.
- We do not sell QuickBooks data, and we do not use it to train publicly available or third-party AI models.
- You may disconnect QuickBooks at any time from within your account or via your Intuit account settings. On disconnection, we stop accessing new data and delete or de-identify previously retrieved QuickBooks data in accordance with Section 9.
- Our access to and use of QuickBooks data adheres to the Intuit Developer terms and applicable Intuit data-handling requirements.
04How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including generating your Equotient Score™, daily briefings, and recommendations.
- To authenticate you and secure your account and data.
- To produce the analytics, reports, and AI-generated insights you request.
- To communicate with you about your account, including service and support messages and the daily briefing email where enabled.
- To create aggregated and anonymized benchmarks as described in Section 8.
- To detect, prevent, and address security incidents, fraud, and technical problems.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
05Legal bases for processing
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process personal data on the bases of: performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services; your consent (for example, when you connect an optional integration); and compliance with legal obligations.
06How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers (sub-processors) — vendors who process data on our behalf to operate the Services, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations (see Section 7).
- Within your organization — with users your business authorizes to access its account.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Equotient, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to the protections of this policy.
Where Equotient processes data on behalf of a business client, that client is the controller of its end users’ data and we act as its processor under our agreement with them.
07Sub-processors
We use the following sub-processors to deliver the Services. Each processes only the data necessary for its function, under appropriate data-protection terms.
| Sub-processor | Function |
|---|---|
| Render | Application hosting and infrastructure |
| Supabase | Database, authentication, and storage |
| Anthropic | AI model processing for insights and briefings |
| Intuit | QuickBooks Online data access (when connected) |
| Outscraper | Retrieval of public review and listing data |
| Resend | Transactional and briefing email delivery |
| ElevenLabs | Audio narration of briefings |
| Cloudflare | DNS, content delivery, and email routing |
We may update this list as our Services evolve; material changes will be reflected here.
08Aggregated & anonymized data
Equotient creates aggregated, de-identified benchmarks that compare operational patterns across businesses. This benchmark data is stripped of information that identifies any individual business, person, or patient, and is grouped into ranges and categories. We may use and license such aggregated, anonymized data to operate and improve the Services and to provide market benchmarks. Because it is not reasonably linkable to you or your business, it is not treated as personal information.
09Data retention
We retain personal and business data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. When you disconnect an integration or close your account, we delete or de-identify the associated source data within a commercially reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
10Security
We protect data using industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security that isolates each client’s data, and least-privilege access for integrations (for example, read-only QuickBooks access). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address any issues that arise.
11Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us at info@equotient.ai. We will respond consistent with applicable law. Where we process data on behalf of a business client, we will direct your request to that client.
12California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) gives you rights to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To exercise a right, email info@equotient.ai.
13EU/UK rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the rights described in Section 11, and you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we transfer data outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards as described in Section 16.
14Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary to operate the Services — primarily to keep you securely signed in. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral-analytics trackers. Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the Services to function, they are not used for tracking across other sites.
15Children’s privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and their authorized representatives. They are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
16International data transfers
We operate primarily in the United States, and our sub-processors may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate transfer mechanisms, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect personal data transferred across borders.
17Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
